Dr. Langdon began his educational career serving as a teacher for four years at Palo Community Schools. He then served as middle school assistant principal for three years- one year at Parchment School District, followed by two years at Marshall Public Schools. Dr. Langdon then moved on to serve as principal at Union City Middle School for two years and then Beaverton Rural Schools for two years as well. Dr. Langdon was then hired as superintendent at Walkerville Public Schools and served there in that capacity for fours years before being hired as Big Rapids Public School superintendent in May of 2004. Dr. Langdon received his Bachelor of Science degree in education from Calvin College, his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Physical Science from Cornerstone University, his Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University, and his Doctorate in Education from Central Michigan University. Dr. Langdon is a member and officer of numerous local and state organizations. He is the past state chair of the MASA Leadership Committee and past member of the Professional Standards Commission for Teachers Committee. He also serves on the State Special Education Advisory Committee and is one of four state directors for the MASA Executive Committee (term expires 2008). |
