2017 Fall Review
It was an exciting fall season for athletics as championships were won, records were broken, and the team/individual awards continue to roll in! Congratulations to each of you who participated as all of you played a vital role in the success of our programs! We are BR!
Boys and Girls Cross Country sent four runners to the State Finals: Meghan Langworthy, Hanna Brock, Madison Hammer, and Logan Williams. Meghan received All-State Honors by placing 10th out of 250 runners! Receiving First Team All-Conference awards were: Meghan Langworthy, Hannah Brock, and Madison Hammer. Logan Williams and Dan Hardesty received honorable mention honors.
Boys Soccer won the CSAA Championship and claimed a District Title. They compiled a school record 19 wins on their way to the first regional win in program history. As a team, they were named Academic All-State. The following players received First Team CSAA honors: Jackson Lund, Mason Gifford, Owen Seay, Jake Balliet, and Connor McAdams. Lance Strpko also received honorable mention honors.
Boys Tennis finished the season with a 9-0-2 record in duals and took fourth at Regionals. They received Academic All-State honors as a team.
Football had four team members receive First Team All-Conference honors: Braeden Childress, DJ Greenbay, Elliot Blair, and Jaiven Holmes-Powell. Deion Jones was an honorable mention selection.
Girls Golf claimed another CSAA Championship and finished runner-up in the Regionals. They competed at the State Finals and finished 12th overall. Hope Thebo, Haley Geib, Holly McKenna, and Annah Folkema received First Team All-Conference honors while Vallery Seay and Payton Fuller were honorable mention selections. The team also garnered Academic All-State Honors.
Volleyball finished the year at 28-21. They finished first at the Cardinal Invite and Lakeview Tournament. Jayla Strickland and Grace Fath received first team all-conference honors.
