It is the continued vision of Big Rapids Public Schools to provide our students unlimited opportunities to achieve their highest potential for lifelong success.

As we look to the future of BRPS, the Board of Education is asking you to vote on a bond proposal on November 7, 2017 for improvements to address identified and ongoing needs. 

This bond proposal would generate $26 million.  These dollars would be spent gradually over the course of five years to provide for the continuing needs of our schools, students, and educators.  


Through multiple community listening sessions, meetings with staff, students and community members the BRPS Board of Education had narrowed down the main improvement priorities to three categories:

  • 21st Century Learning Improvements
  • Health, Safety and Security Upgrades
  • Investment in Infrastructure

Wednesday, October 4, 2017 - Community Information Session at the High School Media Center starting at 6:30pm

Monday, October 23, 2017 - Community Information Session at the Middle School Media Center starting at 6:30pm
