Every school in the Big Rapids district has met rigorous national standards for quality

has scored all A’s & B’s on Michigan’s Education Yes! Report Card. Big
Rapids continues to be one of a select group of school districts
state-wide accredited in all schools K-12.
Our academic program is enhanced with a wide variety of award-winning extra curricular
activities which include: instrumental and vocal music, dramatic and visual arts,
academic clubs and competitions, and an excellent athletic program. |

No-Cost Extended Care for
Eastwood Early Childhood Kindergarteners
Before School Program
Supervised care for students as early as 7:30 a.m.
After School Program Supervised care for Kindergarteners as late
as 5:30 p.m. Children participate in individual and group activities
including physical education, computers, art, and outside playground
activities. Snacks are provided.

Big Rapids Public Schools always provides enrollment opportunities for all
students in all grades. Anyone needing enrollment information is invited to
call our Central Office at (231)796-2627. Parents who are considering Big Rapids
Public Schools for their children can register anytime.

A Few Big Rapids
Public Schools Points of Pride
• All BRPS Bands received a division “1” rating at District and State
levels. • Seventy-two 8th grade students received the Presidential Award for
Educational Achievement/Excellence. • All 1st through 5th elementary schools, BRMS, and BRHS successfully
met A.Y.P. (Adequate Yearly Progress) for the N.C.L.B. (No Child Left
Behind) Act. • BRMS “Math Counts” team received their 8th consecutive
1st place rating at the Regional Competition. |
