Elin Behler, 2nd grade in Mrs. Hamlins class and Colton Ford, 4th grade in Mrs. Westman's class were the first two Brookside students to earn 100 steps! In total we celebrated 20 readers today who have all earned over 100 steps in Reading! They all received a “Brookside 100 Step earner” earner bracelet and a locker tag. Ask your student how close they are to earning their 100 steps and keep READING!

It’s National School Bus Safety Week, and we’re celebrating the incredible team that keeps our Cardinals safe every single day!
Each day, BRPS buses carry 1,372 students across 1,023 miles — and by week’s end, that’s 5,115 miles and more than 6,800 safe rides completed! 🚦 That would be like driving to Florida every day or driving from New York City to Las Vegas, Nevada AND BACK each week!
From early mornings to afternoon drop-offs, our drivers and transportation staff make safety their top priority — and we’re so thankful for the care, smiles, and dedication they show on every route. ❤️

The first Leadership Assembly of the year took place yesterday. So many CARDS slips were turned in and a few lucky students had their slips drawn for prizes and a spin of the wheel with Mr. Ranjel. Don't forget to ask your kiddos what they did to earn their CARDS slips!
Days 2 and 3 of Brookside's new Valet parking is almost wrapped up!! We should be back to business as usual Monday!!

The entire 4th grade enjoyed the FSU Woman's Soccer team play on Friday. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time!!
