Introducing 3rd Grade Teacher at Riverview Elementary, Autumn Hutchinson

Big Rapids Public Schools is excited to welcome Mrs. Autumn Hutchinson as a new third-grade teacher at Riverview Elementary! With a passion for helping children grow and experience supporting student learning, Mrs. Hutchinson is looking forward to building relationships with students, families, and staff as she joins the Cardinal community.

Originally from Newaygo, Mrs. Hutchinson graduated from Newaygo High School and most recently served as an interventionist at Newaygo Elementary. In that role, she worked closely with students to strengthen their academic skills and build confidence in the classroom—an experience that has prepared her well for teaching third grade.

When asked what inspired her to join Big Rapids Public Schools, Mrs. Hutchinson said it was the district's strong culture and commitment to relationships.

"I love helping kids learn and grow, not just as students, but as people. Riverview has a great culture based around building relationships with students, staff, and families, and I am excited to be a part of that!"

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Hutchinson enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have three children—Kaylee, Tony, and Jacob—and much of their free time is spent making memories together. Whether they're enjoying time outdoors or supporting their children in the activities they love, family is at the center of everything they do.

As she prepares for the school year, Mrs. Hutchinson is excited to get to know her students, create a welcoming classroom environment, and help every child grow both academically and personally.

Please join us in giving Mrs. Hutchinson a warm Cardinal welcome to Riverview Elementary and Big Rapids Public Schools!
