We had a guest artist visit the art room today! Our principal, Mr. Ranjel, and the third graders learned the “wet on wet” technique with liquid watercolors.




Team Hall-Smith had a blast being scientists and mathematicians last week! They experimented with lights and shadows and did lots of measuring around the classroom!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE MOTHER/SON DANCE!
The Big Rapids SADD and MCYAC student groups have teamed up to announce this fantastic event, where moms (grandmas, aunts, sisters, or VIP women) and sons can create lasting memories together. The theme for the night is "Under the Sea."
Date: Saturday, February 15, 2025
Time: 6 pm to 8 pm - doors open at 5:45 pm
Location: Big Rapids High School Gym
Age: Toddler to 6th grade for sons
Cost: $5 per person
Dress Code: Moms and sons, embrace the theme with colors and elements you might find under the sea! From casual to fancy to costumey - let your creativity shine.
Important: No high heels or marking shoes (like cowboy boots) will be allowed on the gym floors. Please bring other shoes to dance on the gym floor.

✨ Last night at the BRPS Board Meeting, we had the honor of recognizing Mrs. Kara Schafer as she enters her final weeks as principal of Brookside Elementary. Mrs. Schafer will be retiring at the end of December, passing the torch to Mr. Ken Ranjel in January.
As a heartfelt tribute, Mrs. Schafer has planned special spirit days to celebrate and remember the amazing staff who have been part of the Brookside family during her time here. 💙❤️ What a thoughtful way to honor their service and legacy!
