Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Scholars are selected based on superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities.
Every year, over 5,000 candidates apply. A distinguished panel of educators will review and select semifinalists in the spring. Awesome job Ben!

CARDINALS CLAIM CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP - The Big Rapids High School chess team finished regular season play on Tuesday with a home match against Newaygo. The Lions (4-0-1) and the Cardinals (4-1-0) squared off with the winner claiming the conference championship. The Cardinals secured the victory in the 4th round after coming out strong in rounds 1-3. Mr. Buist is very proud of his team who went from last place last year to first place this year. The team concludes the season on Monday with an individual-play tournament at Newaygo. Go CARDS!
