Eastwood Elementary is proud to have our talented students’ artwork featured at the Artworks Art Attack! From March 16 through April 16, the community is invited to stop in and enjoy the creativity and imagination of our young artists on display. We encourage families and community members to visit and celebrate the amazing artwork that our students here at BRPS have created! 🎨✨

Reading month is Out of this World! Our theme this year is Space! We are having so much fun so far with dress up days, different reading nights with our grownups, reading days at school, and so much more! Mrs. Enszer's class was able to read with stuffed animals!

Good morning—Big Rapids Public Schools will have a 3-hour delay today, Thursday, February 19th, due to fog and poor visibility.

Eastwood recently celebrated Global Play Day, a special event dedicated to highlighting the importance of play in children's learning and growth. Play provides students with meaningful opportunities to explore the world around them, use their imagination, and learn how to work and share with others. To mark the occasion, Eastwood staff designed unstructured play experiences using open- ended materials. Students rotated through classrooms, engaging in hands-on activities that encouraged creativity and collaboration. Throughout the day, students practiced important skills such as problem solving, communication, and social interaction in a fun and natural environment. Global Play Day served as a joyful reminder that play is a powerful and essential part of learning at Eastwood.
