Riverview Elementary students enjoyed a special Moveathon incentive with a trip to the Big Rapids movie theater! Their hard work and dedication to reaching their Moveathon goal earned them this exciting reward. We are so proud of our Cardinals for their amazing efforts and for helping make this year’s Moveathon such a great success! ❤️💙
Our 2nd Graders had so much fun at Robinette’s Apple Orchard yesterday! We got to do an apple scavenger hunt, hay ride, get our own apple and donut and even make apple cider!
🚒🔥 October is Fire Safety Month! The Big Rapids Fire Department visited Riverview Elementary to talk with our first graders about the importance of fire safety. Students learned valuable safety tips and the importance of knowing how to stay safe in an emergency. A big thank-you to the Big Rapids Fire Department for taking the time to educate our young Cardinals and help keep our community safe! ❤️💙
❤️💙 Our Riverview Cardinals worked hard to reach their annual Move-a-Thon goal, and today it was time to celebrate their amazing success! 🎉 As a special incentive, students had the exciting opportunity to transform Mrs. Zocco, our principal, and Mr. Antcliff, our behavioral specialist, into Cardinals! Each student got to join in the fun by dumping glue and adding feathers to help complete their colorful transformations. What a fun and memorable way to celebrate our students’ hard work, dedication, and teamwork! Way to go, Cardinals! You soared above and beyond! ❤️💙

What an exciting learning experience for Ms. Zukowski’s class! 🦕 Her boyfriend stopped by to share his amazing fossil collection with the students, and Ms. Lutz’s class got to join in on the fun, too! The students were fascinated by the fossils, and some even shared pictures of their own fossil discoveries. 📸🪨 Check out these awesome pictures, including the really BIG fossil—a Triceratops horn! What a fun way to bring science and the prehistoric world to life! 🦖

We love hands on math!
Ms. Kubacki’s 2nd graders had a blast using dominos in our math lesson to practice number sense, finding sums and sorting odd and even numbers. What a fun way to learn math in 2nd grade.
Musical Chairs Library!
Today Ms. Lutz’s 3rd grade class celebrated completing our Narrative Story Books with a musical chairs library! We had an amazing opportunity to celebrate not only our individual accomplishments in creating our very own books, but also compliment our peers on all of their hard work!

From colorful leaves to fun fall themes, each door showcases the imagination and spirit of our wonderful staff. 💙 Today, Riverview Elementary’s 4th graders took time to discuss the OK2SAY program and the importance of keeping themselves and others safe. Students learned about the importance of speaking up when they see or hear something that could be harmful and how reporting concerns can help protect their classmates and school community. Together, we’re building a culture where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to do the right thing! ❤️🤍💙
