Riverview Elementary - Educating Our Future

The elementary students gathered for a special fire safety assembly where local firefighters taught them how to stay safe. They learned the importance of checking smoke detectors, making a family escape plan, and staying low if there’s smoke. The firefighters also demonstrated their gear so students wouldn’t be afraid in an emergency. Everyone left the assembly feeling informed, confident, and prepared.

Third and fourth graders had a blast cheering on the FSU soccer team! Their energy and excitement filled the stands as they clapped, shouted, and waved in support. The students loved seeing the players in action and proudly showed their school spirit throughout the game.

The students were thrilled to earn a special glow light party as their incentive reward! With glowing bracelets, colorful lights, and fun music, the celebration created an exciting atmosphere they won’t forget. It was a bright and joyful way to recognize their hard work and positive behavior.

Today’s Moveathon events were an absolute blast for the students! From start to finish, they were all smiles as they ran, danced, and cheered each other on through every activity. The excitement was contagious—students moved with energy and teamwork, celebrating every lap and challenge like champions. Whether they were skipping with friends or racing to the finish, everyone had a chance to shine and show their school spirit. It was a day full of laughter, movement, and memories they won’t soon forget!

HEADS UP!!!! With all the hype of Moveathon fun today students didn't remember that it was HAT day. So Riverview will be having HAT DAY again on Monday October 6th!

Salamander Yoga is a fun way for kids to stretch, wiggle, and move like little salamanders while practicing balance and calm. It turns exercise into play, letting imaginations run wild while building strength and focus. Way to go Ms. Oman's class!
