•S N O W C O M I N G D A N C E• This year’s BRHS Snowcoming Dance will take place on Saturday, January 27th from 8-11pm in the Rotunda. Tickets are $10 each, and will be sold during ALL lunches the week of [Jan. 22nd-26th], as well as at the door the night of the dance. Any non- BRHS guests MUST be approved ahead of time via a Dance Guest Form, which are available in the main office, and must be returned no later than Wednesday, Jan. 24th.

Snowcoming Week is Monday, Jan. 22nd thru Friday, Jan. 26th, with the Snowcoming dance on Saturday, Jan. 27th from 8-11pm. There will be no school for Big Rapids Public Schools on Friday, January 12th due to inclement weather. Be safe!

The deadline to join the Speech & Drama Team is Wednesday, January 10th. Please contact Mrs. Lipscomb if you are interested. Our first event will be at BRHS on Thursday, January 18th.

Our National Honor Society is hosting a Blood Drive on February 1st! Did you know that 1 in 7 people in the hospital need blood? Did you know that donating blood can save 3 lives? If you'd like to donate blood, the National Honor Society will host a blood drive on Thursday, February 1st. Sign up to donate using the QR code on the flyers around the school or use this link: https://donate.michigan.versiti.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/153682 Donors need to be at least 16 years old - with 16-year-olds needing a sign permission slip, which you can pick up from Ms. Cousineau or the office.

As part of our Polar Express pajama day, BRHS Student Council was able to provide all students with free cookies during lunch today. 🍪 Thank you to our BRHS staff for their donations in helping to purchase the cookies, as well as local businesses such as The Pie Whole, Three Girls Bakery, BRVS employee Amy Bordano, and Valisa VanderHill for providing these delicious treats!

Congratulations to the 2023 First Trimester Commendable Cardinals! The Commendable Cardinals are nominated by Big Rapids High School staff members for students who gave great effort to achieve success throughout the trimester. Special Thanks to Car Center for donating gift cards and providing breakfast to our student nominees. John Schreiber from Car Center presented students Monday, December 11, 2023 with their awards!
