On Friday, September 19th, the National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive at BRHS. If you would like to donate blood that day, you need to sign up using the QR codes around the school. Donors must be at least 16 years old, with 16 year olds having a signed parent permission slip. Permission slips are in the office and with Ms. Cousineau. Donors at the drive will be provided with snacks and receive a pair of flannel pants as a thank you while supplies last. Please consider donating blood! Be the reason someone gets another chance.

Tuesday: Tacky Tourist Tuesday
Wednesday: Adam Sandler Day

Friday: Cardinal Crazy / BR Spirit Day / Anything Navy & Red!

Spirit Point Count
Each day during 1st hour, you will be counted for participating in the spirit day. If you do not have a 1st hour or are AM CC, you may e-mail me (kbritton@brps.org), DM the Student Council Instagram account @brhsstudentcouncil , or stop in the Media Center, main office, or my room (#338) to be counted!

Selfie with a Staff Member
Each day during Homecoming week (except for Friday), there will be designated staff members that you can take selfies with to earn spirit points. Submit your selfies by DMing the Student Council Instagram OR by emailing Miss Britt!

Capture the Flag
The annual Capture the Flag competition is back next week! Find your class' flag each day (except Friday) & turn it in to Miss Britt's room (#338) to earn +40, 30, 20, or 10 spirit points for you class that day (1st thru 4th place). Class Flag Colors are listed below., and all rules/regulations are on the attached graphic. Any class who moves or re-hides another class' flag will be penalized! (Big Brother is watching, friends.)
Seniors: RED
Juniors: WHITE
Sophomores: GREEN
Freshmen: YELLOW

PowderPuff Football Game: Wednesday, Sept. 10th @ 8pm in Cardinal Stadium
Homecoming Parade: Friday, Sept. 12th @ 5:30pm, downtown BR (Michigan Ave., beginning at BRMS).
Homecoming Football Game: Friday @ 7pm. *Grand Marshal & class reps introduced and Homecoming royalty crowned @ halftime!
Homecoming Dance: Saturday, Sept. 13th @ 8-11pm in Rotunda. *Enter in doors next to weight room. Remember to not get here super early - the doors may not be open, silly! Also: no admittance after 9pm.
*Tickets will be $10 each, and will be sold next week during ALL lunches at the ticket booth, and will be available for the same price at the door on the night of the dance.

**Dance Guest Forms for any non-BRHS guests must be filled in & submitted to the office by Wednesday, Sept. 10th! Please see Mrs. Maynard in the main office to grab one!

Big Rapids Public Schools is adopting a more efficient and environmentally responsible approach to sharing information from outside organizations. Instead of sending printed flyers home with students, BRPS will now post approved materials from approved community partners on our new Virtual Backpack webpage.

This change is expected to reduce paper use, save staff time, and make it easier for families to access community information year-round.

School-related announcements, classroom updates, and student assignments will still be sent home in student backpacks. Families should continue to check backpacks regularly for important school communications.
