Big Rapids High School hosted a successful Career Fair today, welcoming more than 65 prospective employers who took time to connect with and inspire our students. Representatives from a wide range of industries were on hand to share career pathways, workplace insights, and opportunities for future employment.
Feedback from employers was overwhelmingly positive, with many noting how engaged and prepared our students were during conversations. One employer even shared that two students had already followed up by email regarding summer employment after taking his business card — a great example of students putting professional skills into action.
Following the event, students were asked to reflect on the employers they met, careers that sparked their interest, and what they learned throughout the experience. These reflections will help students think more intentionally about their future goals and the steps needed to reach them.
The Career Fair provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore career options, practice professional communication, and make meaningful connections — another example of BRHS preparing students for success beyond the classroom.
A special thank you to the BRHS Counseling Department and the members of the Career Fair Committee for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to making this unique and valuable event a success.
