Riverview Elementary is welcoming Becca Nichols as its new secretary, and she brings with her more than a decade of experience working in public education.
Becca grew up in White Cloud and graduated from White Cloud Public Schools. She spent 11 years working in the district, including five years as a secretary in the junior high and high school office. Her experience working with students, families, and staff has given her a strong understanding of the important role a school office plays in creating a welcoming and supportive school community.
Becca was drawn to Big Rapids Public Schools because she wanted to continue making a positive difference in the lives of students while being part of a district that cares deeply about its students, families, and staff.
Outside of school, family keeps Becca busy! She and her husband, Joel, have three children—son Joel and daughters Kaylee and Natalie. Their family also includes two dogs, two cats, and eight ducks!
The Nichols family loves spending time outdoors together. Depending on the season, you may find them riding side-by-sides, boating, camping, or snowmobiling. Becca's daughters also keep the family on the go as they participate in school sports and travel ball.
And if you need something to know about Becca right away, here's a good one: she is a huge fan of the outdoors and absolutely loves animals!
With her years of school experience, love of family, and commitment to making a positive difference for students, Becca is ready to become part of the Riverview community.
Welcome to Riverview, Becca! We’re excited to have you and your family in Cardinal Country!
