This year, we're opening up shout-out submissions to celebrate and recognize not only our teachers, but all staff members across departments such as food service, front office, maintenance, transportation, administration, and paraprofessionals.

A 'shout-out' can be submitted by adults or students, with no limit on submissions. These messages will be shared throughout the week of May 6th, and while the submission form closes on May 10th, personal notes of encouragement are always welcomed and valued.

Congratulations to Austin Hinkley for receiving a Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) Scholarship Award for the 2023-2024 school year.
The MIAAA believes in rewarding students who flourish in both academic and athletic excellence and commit to service in his or her local community. The selection process for this year was highly competitive and each of the selected student-athletes is very deserving of this honor.
Way to go, Austin! You make Cardinal Country proud!

9th Grade Orientation - March 13th
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at BRHS
The staff at Big Rapids High School want to invite all current 8th grade students and their families planning on attending BRHS next school year for an orientation. The goal of orientation is to have students and families become more informed and familiar with what to expect of their high school experience. Teachers, counselors, and administrators will be presenting and answering questions on various topics including: athletics, scheduling/graduation requirements, dual enrollment, student handbook/expectations, career exploration, student clubs, etc.
The orientation will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm at the HS. The schedule of events will be available when you arrive that evening, but all students and their families will meet in the Auditorium to begin the evening.
We look forward to seeing you on March 13th and welcoming our next freshman class!


This week middle schoolers have the opportunity to add some new books to their collections thanks to the scholastic book fair!
