Due to a power outage at Gaylord Public Schools, tonight’s Regional Final girls basketball game between Big Rapids and Petoskey has been moved to Traverse City Central High School.

Last night, the Big Rapids Public Schools Board of Education recognized our outstanding district directors for the leadership and dedication they bring to our schools each day. Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Scholars are selected based on superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities.
Every year, over 5,000 candidates apply. A distinguished panel of educators will review and select semifinalists in the spring. Awesome job Ben!

Last night at the Board of Education meeting, we were proud to recognize our secretaries and clerical paraprofessionals for their outstanding service to our district. They were presented with Certificates of Recognition honoring their commitment to excellence and the countless ways they help our schools run smoothly, each and every day.
